After suffering from stomach issues as a teenager and being told to “ just live with it” by doctors, Sally decided to take matters into her own hands.
Through dietary and lifestyle changes, she has successfully turned her life and health around and is now on a mission to help others do the same.
Pain and inflammation are useful tools for our bodies. They alert us that something is not quite right and we should attend to this where necessary. For example, pain encountered after breaking a bone, this usually requires medical attention, the sooner the better.
A splinter requires removal, then the healing process can continue, before long we have forgotten it even happened. Inflammation such as a fever, is designed to fight off any infection or virus using heat as its weapon.
Trapping your finger in a door may result in swelling, bruising and throbbing, all signs of inflammation but this is the body’s way of sending the right tools through our blood to heal, repair and bring everything back to normal.
Summer brings all sorts of joy and excitement for a variety of reasons. Holidays at home or abroad, lighter evenings, warmer weather, beautiful blooms and so much more. For many this is an exciting time of year, where we can get our ‘comfies’ on, get snuggled up under a blanket and watch some cheesy movies as the daylight sneaks away earlier.
